Dr. Shapiro:
Dr. Ron Shapiro is a psychologist with a specialization in designing products, solutions, and services so that they will be easy for people to use ... the Human Factor. After 20+ years with IBM as a human factors, corporate learning and corporate human resources professional, he is now an independent consultant and professional speaker/presenter in Human Factors, Ergonomics, User Experience, Learning, Leadership and Human Resources. Also, he is the Secretary-Treasurer-Elect of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES).
He is listed in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in Science and Engineering. He received his B.A. from the University of Rochester and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Ohio State in Experimental Psychology. Dr. Shapiro has taught at Ohio State, Denison University, University of Connecticut and Dutchess Community College.
His professional affiliations include Sigma Xi (Scientific Honorary Life Member), Phi Kappa Phi (Academic Honorary Life Member), Society of Industrial Psychologists (SIOP) and AISES (Sequoyah Fellow).
